Sandra Lyn Nelson:

I had just started my Instagram page through the persuasion of friends and family. My IG page was only up for a couple of months and Maxim sent me a message asking me if I would consider entering the Maxim Cover girl Contest. To be truthful it was the first I had heard of it. I was very flattered to even be considered as worthy of the competition. At the age of 44, I thought it would be impossible to compete with 20 year old women in an international magazine cover contest.

I discussed it with my partner and decided I had nothing to lose. I would be no further behind by participating. It turned out to be a great decision. Admittedly, I was surprised by the support I received both locally and around the world. It was the first time in my life that I had so much attention. It seemed to gain momentum round after round. The entire experience fuelled my ambition and motivated me to work even harder. I took it as a sign that I was on the right path by pursuing a modelling career at my age.

Namita Nayyar:

At 46 plus years of age, you have one of the most desirable chiseled sculpted bodies. Women of your age aspire to be just like you. Tell us the secret to this stunning personality?

Sandra Lyn Nelson:

I credit a lot of my success to a positive attitude and a sound work ethic. I believe that my spirituality of gratefulness and positivity guide me daily. I am thankful every day for the people in my life that support and guide me.  I rely on my family and friends heavily for support.

I also have developed and maintain a high level of trust in myself and the universe that I am looked after and that trust will guide me in the overall direction I need to go to achieve my goals and be successful. It is an on-going relationship that I work on every day!
