Matrix actor will join Kiefer Sutherland terrorist drama.

Harry Lennix is reporting to CTU. The actor, who starred recently in the ABC drama Commander in Chief and in the sci-fi Matrix films, has signed on for a recurring role in the Fox action series 24.

Lennix joins Harold and Kumar's Kal Penn, who will play a man with possible terrorist ties next season. The show has also added Adoni Maropis and Steven Schub as bad guys.

In season five of 24, the guest-star roster was a who's who of '80s action and sci-fi actors. RoboCop's Peter Weller played a major role, and his wife was played by Poltergiest's JoBeth Williams. The Outsiders' C. Thomas Howell played a sniveling therapist, and go-to '80s villain Julian Sands played the season's evil mastermind.

Ray Wise, of early-'90s Twin Peaks fame, played the US vice president.

24 returns in January.

He was amazing on "Commander in Chief," so I bet he'll be just as good on "24". (I hope this doesn't put a further delay on CiC's made for TV movie, though. I cannot wait until that comes out! That was the best show I've seen in eight years. It deserves a real finale! I really want to see his character become the first African American Vice President.)
